| ATTIC RED-FIGURED COLUMN-KRATER BY THE MELEAGER PAINTER Two nude warriors with shields, helmets and spears, battle a cloaked man riding a rearing horse, turning and lunging at the bearded soldier Reverse: three draped youths. The Meleager Painter takes his name from two neck-amphorae depicting the huntress Atalanta and her lover Meleager.
