HELLENISTIC HELMET OF THE PILOS TYPE With a rounded, conical body, a gorgoneon applique attached to the brow. The crown sports a large crest panache of stylized plumes in sheet bronze, supported by a moulding shaped like a pillar, to which smooth ornamental metal strips of wavy outline are riveted.
