ROMAN LIMESTONE SARCOPHAGUS RELIEF SECTION: YOUTH HOLDING A KANTHAROS

His elaborate costume heavily detailed with extensive incision. At left is an elaborately turned ‘couch’ leg, and above him the panelled edge of the couch. This relief is from the lower part of a sarcophagus decorated with a depiction of the deceased reclining on a funerary couch with the servants below.
Very fine style.
