ATTIC RED-FIGURE COLUMN KRATER BY THE PAINTER OF THE LOUVRE CENTAUROMACHY

The capture of Helen. Theseus carrying a spear, a large round shield with a serpent blazon, and wearing a crested helmet runs toward Helen, at left. Another draped female, possibly Clytemnestra, flees to right toward a bearded figure, probably Tyndareus.
Reverse: Three draped youths.
