CYPRIOT POLYCHROME TERRACOTTA HEAD OF A BEARDED MALE

His finely modeled face with long beard is arranged in tiers of twisted curls, a short incised moustache, and large eyes.
Cf. Helmuth Th. Bossert, Altsyrien, Tübingen, 1951, pls. 90-91, for a very similar Cypriot head in the British Museum. According to "The Black Ledger", this came from Salamis and was numbered 105-1960
