ROMAN ALABASTER HEAD OF ZEUS-SERAPIS

With a full beard and long curly hair, clearly defined with deep drill holes, a circular recess on the crown of the head to receive his modius. Based on the 3rd Century BC cult statue by Bryaxis for the Serapeum in Alexandria.
