ELAMITE BRONZE SHAFT-HOLE AXEHEAD

With rounded lunate blade, curled protrusion at back. A sheep’s head projecting from the back of the shaft hole, the blade emanating from a serpent’s mouth.

Old Elamite, ca. early 2nd millennium BC
