Attic black-figure trefoil oinochoe ATTIC BLACK-FIGURE TREFOIL OINOCHOE

Depicting a warrior arming, with one leg raised as he ties on a cnemid (leg protector). At right a draped female holds his spear and shield; a high-crested helmet rests on the ground before him. At left a nude youth, holding another spear, stands attentively. Possibly a representation of the arming of Achilles by his mother, Thetis, at Troy.
