IMPORTANT ATTIC BLACK-FIGURE GROUP E PANEL AMPHORA FROM THE WORKSHOP OF EXEKIAS

Gigantomachy.
Group E refers to the workshop of Exekias.
In the midst Poseidon kills Polybotes by dropping the island of Nisyros on him. At left Athena runs toward him pursued by an armored giant, and at right Ares fells another armored giant.
